Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I get my vaccine administered?

You should get your vaccine administered by your pharmacist or at our clinic by scheduling an appointment online for an "injection."  There is no charge to have the MenB vaccine administered at our office.

Can the vaccine be administered at the same time as other vaccines?

Yes!  We encourage you to bring your vaccine to your well baby visit.

Should adults be getting the Men B vaccine as well, or just kids?

Public Health recommends people aged 2 months to 25 years get the Men B vaccine, as those are the ages with the highest prevalence of disease.

What are the side effects of the Men B vaccine?

The most common side effect is a sore arm, followed by a small local reaction.  The vaccine is not a live vaccine.

How many doses are in the Men B vaccine series?

The number of doses is age dependent, which is why there are different prescriptions for each age range.
